Manual Therapy

Orthopedic manual physical therapy (OMPT) is defined as: “an advanced specialty area of physical therapy practice that is based on manual examination & treatment techniques integrated with exercise, patient education, & other physical therapy modalities to address pain, loss of function, & wellness..." American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) 2018.

These specific "hands on" treatment techniques are an evidence based clinical approach to decrease pain & aid in improvement of joint function & mobility as well as improvement in soft tissues & nerve function.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a specialized technique used to treat lymph edema in the body & in turn improving the healing process. This type of therapy specifically focuses on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. 

Trigger Point Therapy

A Trigger Point is a hyper irritable spot, a palpable nodule in the taut bands of the skeletal muscles' fascia. Manual Trigger Point Therapy treats trigger points as well as the connective tissue & the fascia.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy is a crucial part to the preparation & rehabilitation pre- & post surgery. Neurophysiotherapy

Neurophysiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy dedicated to improving the function of patients who have suffered physical impairment caused by neurological conditions. Neurological disorders affect the functioning of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. StrokeMultiple Sclerosis (MS)Spinal Cord Injury and Parkinson’s are common neurological conditions.

Sports Physiotherapy

Sports Physiotherapy is a specific area in physiotherapy. It may range from assessment of the technique in that specific sport, injury prevention & rehabilitation from a specific sport.

Kinesio Taping

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a therapeutic taping technique which alleviates pain & facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin increasing interstitial space & allowing for decreased inflammation in affected areas.

Posture Correction & Work Ergonomics

Having a good active & static posture is key in leading a healthy life & preventing any long term injuries. Understanding the concept of muscular imbalances, center of mass & core muscle activation is very important in correction of posture & how to implement it in your daily life.
